Transportation Options
There are different options for getting around in Chicago. You can get to different places in the city via automobile or train. The L train runs throughout the city. The CTA trains run from the airports to the city.
Airports
Chicago is home to two popular airports. O’Hare is 17 miles northwest of downtown and Midway is 10 miles southwest of downtown. They are both international airports in Chicago.
Automobile
While it can be difficult to drive in the Chicago area due to traffic, it is possible. Beware of tolls if you drive on the highways.

Local Pickleball Groups
Chicago has a few different pickleball groups that can introduce players and provide pickleball event information in the area:
- Chicago Pickleball: This is an active Facebook group of over 16,000 members.
- Chicago Pickleball: This is a different Facebook group with the same name as the group above. It is home to Chicago’s best Indoor and Outdoor Pickleball Leagues, Rentals, Pick-up Play, and Tournaments. Their group has over 2,500 members.
- Chicagoland Pickleball: This is a private Facebook group of over 3,400 members that shares information on lessons, clinics, events, & tournaments.
