There are different options for getting around in Detroit. You can get to different places in the city via automobile or bus. The DDOT bus runs throughout the city and into a couple of suburbs. The SMART bus connects Detroit to the suburbs.
Airports
Detroit Metropolitan Airport is 20 miles southwest of downtown. Metro Airport is a major hub for Delta and a base for Spirit Airlines.
Automobile
Traffic can be difficult at times when driving in Metro Detroit, but it is doable. Allow extra time during rush hour.
